Specializing in Treatment for First Responders
First Responders are faced with traumatic experiences on a regular basis as part of their jobs. They have unique challenges that have a long-term impact on their personal and professional lives. I have at least 10 years experience working with this population. I specialize in trauma treatment with First Responders, EMS personnel and military personnel as well as their family members. I am also certified and have extensive experience with Critical Incident Stress Debriefing and Crisis Management. I am certified with the IAFF Peer Support Training Program and act as a peer support clinician and director of the behavioral health program for the Professional Fire Fighters of Maine. My focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. I achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing treatment. Many have experienced the healing effects of listening and being validated in the therapeutic environment. I am EMDR certified, CISD, a Certified Trauma Counselor as well as dually licensed with Maine and New Hampshire. I also offer telehealth options when it is deemed appropriate.

HomeBase: 617-724-5202
On Site Academy (Westminster, MA): 978-874-0177
The On-site Academy is an outgrowth of the critical incident stress debriefing movement. The field has moved to “critical incident stress management”, including pre-incident education, peer support, debriefings, and when necessary, residential training and treatment, which is the role of the On-Site Academy.
The goal of the On-Site Academy is to lessen the impact of the event or events, and to accelerate recovery. Available on a continuous basis, the On-Site Academy is dedicated to maintaining the health, safety and well-being of rescue personnel and their families, and to helping restore them to service in their chosen field, as soon as they are able. The On-Site
Academy is a short term, intensive residential treatment center for rescue personnel who may be temporarily overwhelmed by the stress of their job, suffering from work-related cumulative or delayed critical incident stress, or experiencing an acute, transient reaction to a “critical incident”.
Blue Wall Institute: 618-791-9146
The Blue Wall Institute is a recognized provider of first responder (e.g., Police, Fire, EMS, Military, Corrections, Dispatchers, Clergy, and Medical Personnel) wellness training. The Blue Wall Institute was founded in response to the high number of yearly first responder suicides.
Our mission is to improve the quality of life for our first responders by educating them on all the dangers of the job. We take a holistic approach, in that we not only include first responders in our training, but supervisors, administrators, and first responder families. A first responder in need of assistance may not see a problem for what it is. Their judgment and perception may be clouded, which is why including those closest to the first responder in training is an essential part of saving lives and averting tragedy, as we believe “saving lives begins in the classroom.”™
The Blue Wall Institute focuses on: overall first responder wellness, suicide awareness and prevention, stress and anger management, resilience building, substance use and abuse, heart health, speaking with health care providers, critical incident stress, and PTSD.
